Back in the days of Elocin Specialty Foods these Hot Cross Buns proved to be so popular that I had to make them year round - just changed the name to Fruit Buns when it wasn't Easter.

Now you can make your own Hot Cross Buns or maybe make to give to a gluten free friend as an Easter gift.

The recipe is also dairy-free; it makes 12 luscious buns. The buns are best served hot, either fresh from the oven or split in half and toasted, slathered with butter (or jam or honey).

This is another great recipe to have in your gluten-free collection. You don't just have to save it for Easter.
